WELCOME TO SOC SEAD

SOC SEAD takes various measures to support the suffering humanity through various developmental and rehabilitation projects such as Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts, Family Counselling Centre, Childline, Individual and Community based Rehabilitation supported by the Catholic Health Association of India (CHAI), Adoption Centre, Community College, Creches, Self-help Groups, Sponsorship program for the education of the poor children, promotion of roof garden, support for the education of young girls and promoting environmental degradation and income generation for women by areca plate production unit. These centers are ways to alleviate poverty, addressing the problems of abandoned and run away children, bringing the broken families together, welfare services to the children and youngsters with disability, promoting environment, providing De-toxification treatment and therapeutic services to the addicts and providing day care services to the children of working mothers.

God had been gracious to us through the dark clouds of our journey, walking with us, holding our hands towards the right path. The support, encouragement and prayer of our Sisters, well-wishers, committed staff of our Organization are gratefully remembered. My sincere thanks to Rev. Dr. (Sr.) Rosy Antony, our Provincial and the Secretary Mrs. JanakiKesavaraj for their valuable support and guidance all through our journey. We are grateful to all the Board members for their supportive presence and suggestions.

With great joy we extend a warm and hearty welcome to dear and Rev. Sr. JyothiSelvaraj the new provincial. We wish her God’s choicest blessings.

Environmental Welfare

SOC SEAD has taken special steps towards environmental awareness by promoting the shade net farming techniques and the green house terrace garden among the general public.

Differently Abled
Differently Abled welfare

48 differently abled children of various categories Physically Disabled, Hearing Impaired, Visual Impaired, Mentally Retarded,Visual Impaired, Mentally Retarded, and etc… for below average students.

Children Welfare

Poor children in slum and rural areas are enabled to continue their education by providing study materials, tuition fees, gifts and counseling services.  These children are taken to exposure visits and camps.

Counselling, Rehabilitation, Referral and Follow-up services are rendered to broken families and persons in crisis. Training s and awreness generation programmes are also conducted to various target groups.

Rural
Rural Welfare

The Mission of Holy Cross Community College is to provide the educational opportunity to the students of rural community.This college aims at empowering rural students of both boys and girls from the disadvantaged and marginalized section of the society.

To love is to serve is to love the poor, underprivileged, abandoned and downtrodden. SOC SEAD was started in a small room at St. Martins Social Centre at Mambalasalai.
